Occasionally, a laboratory director or unit supervisor may be faced with a situation where there is a dispute between two qualified experts. Often there is not another person with the technical qualifications to reexamine the evidence in question. Management is then tasked with a conflict resolution in which they must determine which employee has made a potential error and what the subsequent actions should be.
