Timothy A. Jackson has over twenty-one years of forensic experience: eleven years with the New Hampshire State Police Forensic Laboratory and ten years with the US Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory, both American Society of Crime Lab Directors /Laboratory Accreditation Board (ASCLD/LAB) accredited laboratories. He has an additional six years of crime scene experience while assigned to the US Army Criminal Investigation Command. He is certified by the International Association for Identification (IAI) as a Certified Latent Print Examiner (CLPE) and a Certified Footwear Examiner (CFWE).

Tim’s expertise includes: Latent Impressions (finger, palm and foot friction ridge skin); Questioned Footwear Comparisons; Questioned Tire Track Comparisons; Indented Writing Restoration; Fabric Impressions; Questionable Pattern Interpretation; and Crime Scene Processing for latent impressions, questioned footwear impressions and questioned tire tracks.

He has worked over 3900 cases in his career.

Timothy J. Burt

Timothy J. Burt has over 10 years of forensic experience with the Dover Police Department in Dover, New Hampshire, an agency accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). Tim is currently employed as the lead detective of the Dover Police Department’s Crime Scene Unit, which is accredited by the American Society of Crime Lab Directors /Laboratory Accreditation Board (ASCLD/LAB). Detective Burt is a certified police officer and has provided expert testimony on various aspects of crime scene analysis. Tim is both a Certified Crime Scene Analyst (CCSA) and a Certified Crime Scene Reconstructionist (CCSR) by the International Association for Identification (IAI).

Tim's areas of expertise are: Crime Scene Investigation and Analysis; Latent Processing; Blood Detection and Enhancement; Shooting Scene Reconstruction; Death Investigations; Criminal Investigations; Crime Scene Mapping; as well as, Grant Writing; Protocol Development; and Accreditation Management.

He has processed approximately 400 crime scenes and over 2400 pieces of evidence in his career. He has also assisted with 10 homicide investigations
