Now matter how many times seemingly identical objects are broken, the random forces of nature will always create a unique break…….to a trained expert.

Anything that is torn, cut, fractured, snapped, pulled, or ripped apart can be matched back to its congruent  counterpart.

Surfaces may be comprised of paper, tape, metal, plastic, glass, wood, fabric, or almost any other material.  Evidence may consist of broken knife handles and blades, plastic fragments, broken vehicle turn-signal assemblies, torn duct tape, sections of fiberglass from a watercraft, or a ripped bag.

FoCoSS Forensics can perform scientific examinations in this area or we can review cases involving this type of examination and the reported opinions based on the results.
